Salutations.

There is something about the so-called blogosphere that keeps me coming back.

This is now my fifth attempt at maintaining a blog, not counting the Myspace/LiveJournal era where I just needed a platform to express my angry thoughts.

I tried blogging professionally for a couple of years, but found trying to do so while having a full-time job a bit too challenging.

My first blog was simply a thought dump; then I got the bug to want to join the likes of Pitchfork and Stereogum and curate a music blog. I got listed in some music blog aggregators, but that's about it. I moved on.

Tumblr came along and I realized I wanted to do a blog strictly about sports, which led to me finally buying a domain through a hosting site.

Last year was the year of my first dotcom  address. It was fun while it lasted -- I didn't renew my right to keep my domain name.

That being said:

You betcha.

I've always been a strange kid, so when I wasn't scavenging local libraries to feed my books addiction or being the resident tomboy playing sports with the boys, I was creating a world that stemmed from my ever-growing imagination.

I grew up poor in the ghetto, being a steady target of taunts from other kids because of my nerdiness. Having an alternate universe in my mind was the only way to keep me from being bummed out about life all the time.

Now that I'm in the last year of my twenties, I must admit: I did a pretty good job. I have reached a point in my life where I don't waste time on what should have been and focus mostly on what will be. I've met so many wonderful people in my life, a restoration of faith in humanity was inevitable.

What is the purpose of this blog? Existence.

I'm all for celebrating what is.

In short, welcome; I do hope you stay.
